The Arts at Millersville is “Lancaster County’s Home for the Cultural Arts" and has two exquisite performing arts centers, The Winter Center and The Ware Center, that feature music, dance, theatre, film, poetry, community events and art exhibits. As the Assistant Manager of Communications and Engagement for the Arts at MU, I have had the opportunity to work closely with the advertising assets for each of the shows occurring throughout the season. Since starting at The Ware Center, my responsibilities have consisted of designing and creating show assets, such as banners, video sliders, kiosk signs, posters and postcards, for many of the upcoming shows. These assets require me to stay within specific branding guidelines in order to present our events in a consistent and trustworthy manner. Additional projects, such as the creation of show programs and designing a mounted poster showcasing the entire season, have provided me the opportunity to explore my creativity while maintaining the Arts at MU aesthetic and brand. My knowledge and skills pertaining to the Adobe Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, have significantly increased and continue to grow with each project.
